UMBERTO CORRADI PITTORE POSTIMPRESSIONISTA

Originario di Piani di Imperia, Umberto Corradi è nato a Varazze, in provincia di Savona, l’8 gennaio 1930. Vive ed opera ad Arma di Taggia (Imperia). Da oltre quarant’anni svolge la sua attività artistica nel paese adottivo. Nel 1950 tenne la sua prima mostra personale, ed estese poi la sua attività nei luoghi lungo il Mediterraneo, dalle coste italiane alla Francia, particolarmente in Provenza, nel vicino Piemonte e, naturalmente, in Liguria.Il nostro pittore ligure ritiene che la solitudine  sia un’amica perché proprio in essa l’uomo non si sente solo e può pensare e immergersi nel suo lavoro, cercando mai di staccarsi da quel filo che lo lega all’arte. Inoltre egli pensa che un pittore non deve mai staccarsi dalla natura che è la vera maestra dell’arte.Un critico d’arte scrive di lui: “Del Ligure, Umberto Corradi ha i tratti somatici ed anche il carattere; ha una atavica tenacia contadina che si riscontra nel suo metodo di lavoro, sempre fedele alla formula figurativa. Se dovessi, con una parola, definire Corradi e la sua pittura, credo userei questa: impegno. Ad ogni sua mostra noto un raffinarsi costante del segno, una maggiore nitidezza del colore”.Le sue opere sono rappresentate da paesaggi dell’entroterra ligure, marine, nature morte, figure. Tutto sembra ispirarlo: i fiori, un volto di fanciulla, le donne al lavoro nei campi, lo scoglio e le caratteristiche viuzze liguri.

BERNARDO  ASPLANATO

 Pittore di Imperia, Bernardo Asplanato nacque nella borgata della Marina di Porto Maurizio il 31 marzo 1922. Le sue opere sono caratterizzate dalla tendenza ad una astrazione geometrizzante , con pochi elementi ricorrenti che si traduce in un segno scarno ma profondamente incisivo e suggestivo. Accanto alle nature morte e al paesaggio, la figura umana, in particolare quella femminile, è fortemente presente nella sua produzione.

Umberto Corradi’s family came from Piani di Imperia, but he was born in Varazze, in the province of Savona, on January 8^th 1930. He now lives and works in Arma di Taggia (Imperia). He has been painting for over forty years  In 1950 he held his first personal show. He paints all along the Mediterranean, on the Italian coast, in France, particularly in Provence, in Piedmont, and in Liguria, of course.He maintains that solitude is a friend because when he is surrounded by it he does not feel alone, and so he can think and immerse himself in his work, trying never to break away from that thread that ties him to art. He also thinks that an artist should never tire of observing nature which is the true teacher of art.An art critic wrote:”Corradi has the physical appearance and the character of the Ligurians; he has a kind of primitive rustic obstinacy which is reflected in the way he works; he is always faithful to figurative art. If I had to define Corradi and his painting in one word, I think I would say “commitment”. I see that there is a growing refinement in the sign, and greater precision in the colour.”His works are represented by landscapes of the Ligurian hinterland, sea views, still lifes and figures. Everything seems to inspire him: flowers, a girl’s face, women working in the fields, the rocks, and the characteristic alleyways of Liguria.

BERNARDO  ASPLANATO

Painter from Imperia, Bernardo Asplanato was born in the village called Marina of Porto Maurizio on 31st March 1922. His works are characterised by a geometric abstraction, with a few repeated elements represented by a spare mark, but with a deeply incisive and charming style.Besides still lives and landscapes, the human figure is strongly present in his production, especially the female one.

Giovane artista di Arma di Taggia  i cui interessi non riguardano solo la pittura ma anche la scultura, la poesia e la narrativa; ha pubblicato recentemente un romanzo dal titolo:"Zenzero".
