IL GALEONE

Materiale occorrente:

una foglia di palma secca, stecchini per spiedini, stoffa bianca e spago.

Realizzazione:

• raccogliere su una spiaggia, dopo una mareggiata, pezzi di foglie secche di palma;
• scavare la parte centrale della foglia per costruire lo scafo;
• utilizzare gli stecchini per fare l'albero maestro e i remi infilandoli nella pasta legnosa della foglia;
• con stoffa di recupero bianco e spaghi realizzare una vela.

THE GALLEON

You need:

A dead palm frond, some skewers, white cloth and a piece of string.

Hollow out the central part of the frond in order to build the hull;

Use the skewers to make the mainmast and the oars inserting them in the woody part of the frond.

Using white spare cloth and pieces of string you can make a sail.
